Songs4Soldiers loses one of its own
I remember when I first met Marla Vogt. It was at a local gym. She was the perfect amount of beautiful and bawdy. We became fantastic friends immediately. Shortly after, when S4S became a reality, she was one of the first people to join the committee. After a couple of years of being with us, her company Above and Beyond Design by Marla, rehabbed an S4S veteran’s entire kitchen! It was the first project we had done as a team and I think it set the tone for what S4S was capable of. Marla donated the WHOLE project.
Marla was later diagnosed with cancer. While scared, she never wavered from being Marla. Ever. She fought it hard until the very end, defying all odds. Marla will be greatly missed by this world. She leaves behind two beautiful kids. Please send your love and prayers to her children and family.
